The company was originally founded in 2008, under the name Progressive Energy Services. Initially focused on home improvements geared towards saving energy and improving comfort, it quickly developed a reputation for providing top-quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service. In 2020, we decided to expand our offering to include a broader range of home improvement and remodeling services, and we re-branded the company as Built Right LLC.
Tom Regh
Tom was the founder of Progressive Energy Services, LLC which began in 2008. Progressive Energy Services was a successful building performance contracting business, which used a science-based approach to improve the energy efficiency, year-round comfort, and durability of existing residential homes. He is an expert in high-performance building envelope construction. Using tools such as blower door testing and infrared thermal imaging to identify deficiencies, he was able to deliver noticeable results to hundreds of satisfied homeowners. Like Built Right, Progressive Energy Services maintained a strong focus on results, high quality, and customer service. They held a straight-A rating from their Angie’s List customers, and received the Super Service Award for several years. Built Right, LLC is a natural extension of Progressive Energy Services, by expanding our service offering beyond just energy-efficiency related home improvements.
Tom is an experienced businessman, with 34 years of professional experience. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1985 with a Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering. He worked for Raytheon Company in Marlborough, Massachusetts for 8 years. During that time, he worked towards a Masters Degree in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, which he earned in 1992. In 1993, he left Raytheon to work for Simplex Time Recorder Company, in Gardner, Massachusetts. He held increasing levels of responsibility, up to the General Manager of a research and development facility with a staff of 65, and an annual operating budget of $5M. He was recognized with the Outstanding Management Team Contribution award in 2005 and 2007, and he is a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Noah Schur
Noah was born and raised in Sterling, Massachusetts. He graduated from Wachusett Regional High School in 2010. He attended Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Indiana where he graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. Throughout his high school and college years, Noah spent his summers working for Newfound Landscape Construction based out of New Braintree, Massachusetts. During this time, Noah gained valuable experience with hardscape construction.
After graduating from Valparaiso University, Noah worked for Tom Regh at Progressive Energy Services. Noah was with PES for 4 ½ years gaining knowledge and experience with energy efficiency, carpentry and construction. After a short stint in the commercial construction field, Noah realized that his time working with Tom was a unique and valuable partnership, leading to the creation of Built Right, LLC. Noah has always had a passion for working with his hands and delivering exceptional results and experiences to customers.
